Tony Maples is an adventure photographer and storyteller who seeks out the raw, untouched corners of the American Southwest and beyond. From the rugged terrains of Big Bend to the secluded expanses of the Badlands, Tony ventures into places where silence speaks louder than words and the light tells its own story.

His work isn't about ticking off iconic landmarks. It's about the pursuit of solitude and discovery, the kind that strips away distractions and leaves only the essentials of light, land, and the feeling of being completely present. Whether he's navigating desert washes or standing beneath a sky ablaze with stars, Tony's images are less about the scene and more about the experience of being there.

Tony didn’t set out to be a photographer. He set out to get lost and brought a camera along just in case. What started as a personal escape, living on the road with no fixed plan, turned into something bigger: a way to reconnect with wild places, others, and with himself.
